Benchmarking FireBoard vs Kunena vs phpBB 3

After a short tests we can see how various forum systems for Joomla! use server resources and especially MySQL queries.

We have the test forums installed in a single Joomla site:

FireBoard 1.0.5 RC1
Kunena (ex FireBoard) 1.0.7 b
phpBB 3.0.4 (integrated with Joomla via p8pbb bridge)

The forums contents are equal. FireBoard and Kunena use avatars from Community Builder.

After performing some common tasks we have calculated the amount of MySQL queries used by each forum system:

Page	FireBoard 1.0.5 RC1	Kunena 1.0.7 b	phpBB 3.0.4
Homepage (categories)	95	84	7
Single forum	31	32	8
Topic	79	78	10

Think about these numbers, especially if you have big community forum.
