Intregrating 3rd party extension with joomla/phpbb3

Postby medy » March 15th, 2009, 5:56 pm

Hi all

I am thinking how to use different web 2.0 login features for the joomla / phpbb3.
This way new users don't necessarily need to register in order to participate in the forums or take part in online community.

For example - i installed the Joomla Facebook module login (JFBConnect), but it doesn't work completely with my phpbb3/joomla since i have different username in joomla/phpbb3 and different one on my facebook (but same e-mail). I get "username/password doesn't match" warning.

Does anybody have some piece of advice / information how to integrate different social joomla extensions to work together? With no critical login errors, double usernames/e-mails? I think combination of Jooma, phpbb3, jomsocial and JFBConnect and JFBInvite would be awesome :D

Imagine all this apps linked together - yeey :D

Hello,

I've create phpBB3 alphauserpoint rules:
http://www.liveblog.altervista.org/products-page/

Rules work very well and are tested with p8pbb bridge.

plgaup_newfilepost: This rule adds o remove points if user add a new file in the forum.

plgaup_newforumpost: This rule adds or remove points if user adds a new post or edit a post in the forum.

plgaup_newpollpost: This rule adds or remove points if an user adds a new poll in the forum.

plgaup_newpollreply: This rule adds or remove points if an user add a new reply to the poll.

plgaup_newuploadprofile: This rule adds or remove points if an user upload his profile.
