I think one of the most important things to get nailed just now would be linking your phpBB Avatar with your CB one. Of course some thought would be needed into how that was done. Should you be able to change the avatar in both CB and phpBB? or should you have the choice to restrict it to one or the other? Personally I think long term I'd like all profile stuff handled in community builder rather than phpBB. In other words, every field in phpBB can be updated in CB.

But at the very least, some kind of system to link the two avatars would be great!

Also some kind if module for Joomla to display phpBB stats - but I think that's already in the pipeline?

CB avatar is already synched in both ways, including small preview image for CB used in login module, all size settings of CB are used, CB gallery avatar can be used as phpBB remote avatar to reduce files amount or copied to phpBB as usual user's avatar
+ phpBB profile fields (Location, Interests, Signature etc.) with CB fields
+ phpBB custom profile fields with CB fields (up to 10, hope it is enough)
+ phpBB friends and foes with CB connections
+ added redirect of phpBB Members to any url - possible to show CB member list by this link
+ redirect of phpBB User Control Panel to any url - can use CB profile here
+phpBB profile tab of recent user's posts/topics (configured by admin, cached)
We will perform additional testing of CB integration right here

This stuff is incredible! Well, it would also be cool to have something similar to the avatar thing in you CB profile, but for forum signatures instead. A basic option would allow you to simply enter BB code used in your forum signature. A more advanced option would allow you to upload signatures.

hm... we can make signature synchronized with any CB field, but the problem is that we can't parse phpBB bbcodes in CB profile.

If you want to have kind of CB signature - you can create CB field for it, place it to the separate tab and setup tab's position somewhere, probably it will work.

Now Signature can also be synchonized with any CB field. Probably it is possible to make new CB field type - say 'bbcode' and display the field data with already parsed bbcode.

Found that you can enable CB plugins in CB login module - that means that we will have new phpBB PM notifications below avatar in CB login module

For now JomSocial is limited for full integration - i.e. we can't change phpBB avatar if it is changed in JomSocial. Hope new version of JomSocial will be more integration-friendly.

ive been away a couple of weeks and come back and read these posts and it looks like you are making some really good progress on the CB integration.

I will definately be going to want to start testing this out soon.


My feature requests without yet installing this would be CB integration - which it seems you are well on your way with. great work keep it up.
