Many of my users would like to comment on weblinks submitted by other users.

Would it be possible to integrate comments for weblinks into forum postings?

It would work something like this:

You would create a module that would display weblinks just like the usual weblinks module only just below each link there would be a sub-link.

So the list would look like this:

0 comments

>2nd link to outside page

2 comments

>3rd link to outside page

1 comment

If they click on "0 comments" it would take them to a new forum topic post page which would create a new post in the respective forum. It would include the weblink above their maintext and the weblink title in the name of the post and some denotation in front of it for the title of the forum topic (the forum topic title would not be alterable) so it would look like this "LINK COMMENTS: link to outside page."

If they clicked on "2 comments" under the second link it would take them directly to the forum topic.



I would also appreciate this because it would give you the opportunity to create a module that sorts the links by date and time so the newest weblinks would appear at the top of the module. So far none of the other weblinks display modules do this, they only allow sorting by date only and every link posted on a particular date is "sub-sorted" alphabetically.

We will think about the idea to make comments available for Joomla weblinks, but for now this is impossible.
