Uddeim PMThere was a discussion before about trying to get a PM notifier from PHPbb3 to Joomla and from past conversations there were problems .
Would it be easier to go the other way with it and use uddeim as the master and link to it from phpbb3? Just throwing out ideas.
Re: Uddeim PMJust turn off PM option in phpBB forum Admin Panel.
Redirect user profile to Comunnity Builder, and there use Uddeim with Quick Message Tab and normal Send Message to Profile !
Re: Uddeim PMAlot of users bypass the front page and link directly to the forums and never see the PM notification in the forums.
Redirecting their profile won't get them there message quickly either.
Re: Uddeim PMI dont see why you would want to PM through the Uddeim once you are running phpbb. However, I wonder if you could just modify viewtopic_body.html where the PM button is set and reroute it to that users pm.
You would have to figure out how uddeim determines what user to pm by the link in their profile (probably a call out in some manner to their user id. Then you would have to see if the bridge uses a similar id#. If it does you may be able to modify that html file to call on the id of the user and take you to the uddeim message screen. Just a thought. After I typed all that it sounded more complicated.
Re: Uddeim PMI'm using Uddeim and I have installed a module top left that's only visable to registered members - It will notify you when a new message arrives..
Re: Uddeim PM
Will it also notify you in the forum ? or just in joomla ?
Re: Uddeim PMJust on Joomla - For me I have the module to left so even when members browse the forums the message module is still visible..
Here is a snip of the module - can be seen as a registered user only @ http://www.skaten-paderborn.de (feel free to register and send me a PM to test) ![]()
Re: Uddeim PMI take it your running your forum in wrapper mode .
Re: Uddeim PM
Yes.. Sry for late reply..
Re: Uddeim PMAh no problem , this issue was resolved with one of the latest upgrades , Uddeim is turned off now . Using the forums PM system exclusively at this point with notification to Joomla .
