Jomsocial 1.6.284

Postby f1schu » January 25th, 2010, 1:29 am

Just a quick update to say that I have installed and tested p8pbb with the latest version of Jomsocial v1.6.284 and there are no issues, everything works fine including the advanced JS intergration.

Only thing there is now is to have some options to link the "0 New messages" link in phpbb3 to the Jomsocial or uddleim message system when not using phpbb3's built in message system, so that it shows for eg.. "1 New message" in the link on phpbb3 because right now it still just display's "0 New messages" even when you have mail which is kind'a silly.

Fix that and p8pbb will be perfect.

Thx. 8-)

Yeah i realize that but im sure everything would be fine still and for intergration its a must realy tbh, only other option is to remove the link in phpbb but it would be better to keep it.

If your concerned about that one extra trip to the DB being too much I have just become concerned myself. Is that one extra query going to push things too far? Maybe you can cache it and only actually hit the table once ever couple of minutes?

Thats a good idea bro, and like you said this one exrta option shouldn't create that much extra load really and this option is a must tbh.
