Ok so when a group is created a forum is also created in phpbb. Does that also mean that when a discussion in that group is created it also creates a topic in the group forum?

I guess what i'm asking is does the bridge replace the in built in discussion feature in jomsocial?

It's a bit redundant and confusing to have a forum created and still have discussions taking place using jomsocial discussions.

I don't mean having the actual forum topics being displayed in the group page, just having links to the topics created in that groups displayed.

No topic is created if the discussion is created in JomSocial.
The group just has a link to its forum which can be auto-created for a group.

Any update on 1.6 intergration?

Only administrator can enable/disable auto-creating of phpBB forum for JomSocial group and enable/disable the link.
Working hard on the version for 1.6, a week or two are left.

The bridge for Joomla 1.6-1.7 was released few months ago.
